Return, refund and complaint policy

Valid for consumer purchases throughout the EU.

All returns are sent to the address above. We only accept parcels sent directly to the address. We cannot collect parcels from parcel shops or parcel lockers, so please do not send your return to a collection point.

2. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal when shopping online. At LYKKELAND ateliér we give you an extended period of 30 days from the day you receive your item. Within this period you may withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason.

You must inform us that you are withdrawing before the deadline expires - for example via our return portal or by sending the standard withdrawal form (see section 11). After you have notified us, you must return the item without undue delay and no later than 14 days afterwards.

3. Returns from the EU

Start your return via our return portal: LYKKELAND Atelier - Return Portal. You will need your email address and your order number to begin the process. Follow the steps in the portal, which guide you all the way through and generate your return label.

1.      Attach the return label from the portal to the outside of the parcel.

2.      Hand in the parcel at a drop-off point for the chosen carrier. Please note that the parcel is sent to our address - not to a collection point.

3.      Always ask for a receipt for the drop-off. That way your shipment is insured, and we can track its status.

If the carrier shown in the link is not supported in your local area, you are allowed to choose another carrier. However, returns must always be sent to the address mentioned above, otherwise the return will not be accepted.

4. The condition of the item when you return it

You are welcome to try on the clothing as you would in a physical store - that is, put it on to assess fit, size and appearance. This does not affect your right of withdrawal.

For us to accept the return, the following must apply:

         all price tags and any hygiene strips must remain on the item,

         the item must be clean and free of, for example, perfume, smoke or makeup stains,

         the item should, as far as possible, be returned in its original packaging.

If you have handled or used the item more than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and function, we may deduct an amount from the refund corresponding to the item's reduction in value. In extreme cases, where the item no longer has any resale value, the entire amount may be forfeited.


5. Refund

Once we have received and approved your return, we will refund your amount. We refund:

         the price of the returned item(s), and

         the original standard delivery cost. If you chose a more expensive delivery method than our cheapest standard delivery, we refund an amount corresponding to the standard delivery.

We refund using the same means of payment that you used for the purchase, unless otherwise expressly agreed. You will not be charged any fees for the refund.

We carry out the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we have received notice of your withdrawal. However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the item back, or until you have provided documentation that the item has been returned - whichever occurs first. In practice, we process most refunds within 7-9 days from receiving your return.

6. Return costs

In case of withdrawal, you bear the direct costs of returning the item yourself, unless otherwise expressly stated in a specific campaign.

If you are sending from another country, we encourage you to choose a carrier that can document the delivery, and to state the item's actual value. Any customs or import fees in connection with the return are not our responsibility.

In the case of a justified complaint (defective or incorrectly delivered item), we naturally cover your reasonable shipping costs - see section 9.

7. Exchange

If you wish to exchange an item - for example for a different size or colour - you can do so via our return portal: LYKKELAND Atelier - Return Portal. Use your email address and your order number, and follow the steps. Exchange requires that the desired item is in stock. If it is not, we will process your request as a return with a refund.

8. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

         underwear, swimwear and similar items that, for health or hygiene reasons, are sold sealed, if the seal has been broken after delivery,

         items made to your specifications or given a distinct personal touch (e.g. custom-tailored measurements or monogram).

If a product is exempt from the right of withdrawal, we state this clearly on the product page before purchase.

9. Complaints (statutory remedy for defects)

In addition to the right of withdrawal, you have a 24-month right of complaint under the Danish Sale of Goods Act. The right of complaint covers defects that were present at the time of delivery - for example faults in stitching, material or workmanship. It does not cover damage arising from normal wear and tear, incorrect use or lack of maintenance.

If you complain within a reasonable time after discovering the defect (a complaint within 2 months is always considered timely), you may - depending on the specific situation and the rules of the Sale of Goods Act - be entitled to:

         having the item repaired or exchanged,

         a proportionate reduction in the price, or

         cancelling the purchase and getting your money back.

How to complain: Start a complaint via our return portal: LYKKELAND Atelier - Return Portal. Provide a brief description of the defect and upload one or more images of the product. We will get back to you quickly with the next step. In the case of a justified complaint, we cover your reasonable costs for return shipping.

10. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you are not satisfied with our handling of your case, you may file a complaint.

For consumers in Denmark: You can submit a complaint to Center for Klageløsning, Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg (www.naevneneshus.dk).

For consumers in other EU countries: You can get guidance on cross-border complaints from your national European Consumer Centre (ECC). In Denmark: Forbruger Europa (www.forbrugereuropa.dk).

Note: The EU's online dispute resolution platform (ODR) was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and can therefore no longer be used.

11. Standard withdrawal form

You may use this form if you wish to withdraw from your purchase. It is not a requirement - you can also simply notify us via the return portal.
